Client: Cambel Holdings Limited.
Objective: To develop an office and retail building on the corner of Victoria Street and Dock Street and Halsey Street, Auckland. It needed to be a signature gateway building as an entrance to the main Auckland CBD. The biggest challenge was to determine the appropriate balance of building bulk and floor area.
What we did: Provided urban design advice to the design team, presented to the urban design panel, prepared an urban design assessment and evidence at Council hearing.
Outcome: Resource Consent was granted. Awaiting the right tenant to facilitate construction.
