Client: Bianconi Investments Limited.
Objective: To rezone an area north of the Auckland International Airport from rural to predominantly industrial uses. The clients land was outside of the plan change area proposed by Manuaku City Council.
What we did: Considered the appropriateness of the client's land for industrial activities. Prepared urban design recommendations for access and circulation, activity locations and specific zone provisions to apply to sensitive interface situations. We presented evidence at the joint Manukau City Council and Auckland Regional Council hearing.
Outcome: The client's land has been included in the plan change area and rezoned for industrial activities. Our recommendations significantly influenced the layout and design of the heritage route and access networks.
