Client: Lopdell House Development Trust.
Objective: Obtain resource consent approval for significant alterations and additions to an existing heritage/landmark building.
What we did: Prepared the resource consent application, landscape architectural advice, urban design and visual assessments and provided expert evidence at the Council hearing.
Outcome: Non-complying resource consent granted.
Lopdell House is a significant heritage building in Titirangi Village. It requires extensive seismic strengthening and this process provides the opportunity to rationalise activities in the building and on the site. A proposed modern extension is to provide purpose designed gallery space.
