Objective: To provide for town centre development through the statutory planning process.
What we did: Provision of urban design and planning advice for town centre development and compilation of a Private Plan Change Request for appropriate re-zoning of the land.
Outcome: The Plan Change request was approved in November 2011.
Development in Kumeu has been constrained by District Plan zoning, flooding and infrastructural issues. The need for comprehensive town centre development has been identified to serve the needs of the growing population in north-west Auckland.
